Get to know Family Physician & Sports Medicine Physician Dr. David P. Bica, who serves patients in Providence, Rhode Island. 

Dr. Bica is a highly respected and experienced family physician with a certificate of added qualification in sports medicine. He joined University Orthopedics as an attending at Newport Hospital after practicing three years with East Greenwich Spine and Sport. His interests include sports medicine research, osteopathic manipulative medicine in treatment of neck and lower back pain, fluoroscopy spinal injections, as well as diagnostic and interventional musculoskeletal ultrasound. Alongside his clinical role, Dr. Bica is an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery and an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Family Medicine at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. He graduated from Providence College, and then went on to earn his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his residency in family medicine and his fellowship in sports medicine at East Carolina University Brody School of Medicine in Greenville, North Carolina.
